About our Google Calendar integration. Fort Myers Live lets you discover local events and, at your direction, add them to your Google Calendar. To do this, we request the Google Calendar scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events (“Calendar Events”). We use this scope only to create, update, or delete the specific events you select, on calendars you can access. We do not change your calendar sharing or settings and we do not create or delete calendars.

c. Google Data (only if you connect Google)
When you connect your Google account to use “Add to Google Calendar,” we may receive:

- Calendar event access under the
calendar.eventsscope, limited to creating, updating, or deleting events that you explicitly choose within Fort Myers Live. - OAuth tokens (access/refresh tokens) needed to perform the actions you request.

Google Calendar: When you click “Add to Google Calendar,” we use the calendar.events scope to create an event on your Google Calendar. If you later choose to edit or remove that event from within Fort Myers Live, we use the same scope to update or delete the event you created via the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:
Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) to handle billing securely

Disconnect Google access. You can disconnect Fort Myers Live from your Google account at any time in the app’s Settings or from your Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions . Disconnecting stops future access. Events previously added to your calendar remain in your Google Calendar unless you remove them.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data as long as your account is active or as necessary to:
Fulfill legal, tax, or regulatory obligations
Resolve disputes
Enforce our agreements
You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.
Google tokens. If you connect Google, we store OAuth tokens to perform your requested calendar actions. Tokens are stored securely (encrypted at rest) and are retained only while your Google connection remains active. When you disconnect (or revoke access in your Google Account), we promptly delete stored tokens from our systems.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Google data protection. We use least-privilege OAuth scopes (calendar.events only) and encrypt OAuth tokens at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel with audited access.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions with different data protection laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or via email. Your continued use after changes have been posted indicates your acceptance.
10. Google API Services User Data Policy
Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell Google user data, and we only use Google user data to provide or improve the features described in this Privacy Policy.
